The Asana School of English was founded in 1993 by Colm Breathnach and Adi Vickers and has been running English language programmes in Cahersiveen, County Kerry, Ireland for the past eighteen years. Recognised by the Irish Department of Education and members of MEI-RELSA, their courses have attracted thousands of students from over twenty countries around the world. Students at Asana particularly enjoy the humanistic approach to learning, exhilerating outdoor programmes and the warm personal touch which Colm, Adi and the teachers always prize as being the hallmark of Asana.
Colm and Adi have lived with their four children in Garfagnana during the winter months since 2002 and have restored the farmhouses at Prunecchio to their former glory. This project was realized with the help of an international community of travellers from countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Israel, England, the United States, Canada, Argentina and Spain who spent anything from two weeks to two months working on site in exchange for board, lodging and plenty of Italo-Irish fun! This travelling community still forms the core of life at Prunecchio and will make your stay all the more memorable for their stories from around the world. Colm and Adi give their personal guarantee that you will feel at home and welcome in this international environment at all times during your stay at Prunecchio.
